Nick Suess

Nick Suess, owner, was raised on a family grain farm, just South of Greenville Illinois, where he spent his younger years working, and developing a strong interest in the value of farmland. With a background in production of corn, soybeans, and wheat in Southern Illinois Nick knew he had an interest in the business of farmland, and the value of farm real estate.

In pursuit of this interest, Nick graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Economics. Prior to graduation, Nick interned as a farm management and appraisal intern at Busey Bank in Decatur. Immediately after graduation, Nick returned to Busey Ag Services, accepting a full-time position as an Appraisal Trainee, Farm Manager, and Farm Real Estate Broker.

Nick accumulated 300 hours of classroom training in appraisal and over 3,000 hours of appraisal experience at Busey Bank as an Appraisal Trainee before becoming a Certified General Appraiser in the State of Illinois in 2019.

In addition to handling many appraisals. Nick managed over 9,000 acres of farmland in the southern half of Illinois and listed and sold farms in that same geography for Farm Brokerage clients as a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Illinois.

In 2021, Nick joined Field Level Agriculture, opening a new office in downtown Greenville, IL, where he provides Farm Appraisal, Farm Management, and Farm Brokerage services. On January 1, 2022, Nick became a co-owner in Field Level Agriculture, Inc.

Nick and his wife, Alison have two young children and live in Greenville, Illinois.
