Field Level Agriculture announces the acquisition of Heartland Ag Group of Springfield

Field Level Agriculture, Inc., a leading provider of professional farmland appraisals, brokerage, and management services throughout Central Illinois, has acquired Heartland Ag Group of Springfield from Ernest Moody as he begins his transition to retirement.  Heartland Ag Group of Springfield also specialized in professional farmland appraisals, brokerage, and management services making this a perfect opportunity for expansion.

The acquisition of Heartland Ag Group of Springfield will add a second location in addition to the Mt. Zion office.  The office on Old Jacksonville Road will remain open with the same staff as before.  Ernie will continue to serve his clients as a Senior Consultant and plans to concentrate on cover crops, soil health, organic farming, and new business development.

Tom Courson joined Field Level Agriculture as an owner on July 1 in anticipation of this acquisition.  Tom will be the President of Farm Management and oversee the transition of the Springfield location.  Tom brings 25 years ag services experience, most recently as Senior Vice President and head of Busey Ag Services in Decatur.

The opportunity to grow through an acquisition of this quality is rare and Field Level Agriculture will continue to provide the high level of service and expertise Ernie’s clients have come to expect.  “Seth and I are very excited to have this opportunity and look forward to working with and learning from Ernie during the transition and beyond, ” stated Tom Courson, Owner and President of Farm Management.

With the newly acquired Springfield location, Field Level Ag now has two full-service offices to serve the region.  The Mt. Zion location at 425 Sunset Court and the Springfield location at 2815 Old Jacksonville Road.  Field Level Agriculture, Inc. provides professional farmland appraisals, brokerage, and management services throughout Central Illinois.

Founder, Seth M. Baker, started Field Level Agriculture three years ago to provide the highest level of professional farmland services.  Baker states, “I am very excited about the opportunity to add a second office in the heart of Illinois farmland, giving us the perfect positioning to quickly meet the needs of our customers throughout Central Illinois.”

Field Level Agriculture is open at both locations Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
